Matheran's first human dwelling. Built in 1854
by the discoverer of Matheran, Hugh Malet, the
then Collector of Thane. The Byke bunglow still
stand majestically in all its pristine glory
personifying heritages unparalleled. In the
surrounding 7 acres is built THE BYKE-A Hotel
Retreat.

cottages equipped with modern amenities. All the
double bedrooms, suites and two bedroom cottages
have a verandah and independent access.

Delsy: This room is furnished with a
double bed, a sofa cum bed and equipped with a
colour television and telephone etc. It has a
separate verandah to sit out and an attached
bathroom. This unit can comfortably accommodate
a family
of 2 adults & 2 children.
Royce: This
cottage has two bedrooms furnished with double
beds and a living room furnished with a sofa cum
double bed and a sofa cum single bed. The
bedrooms have their independent attached
bathrooms. This unit also has two televisions
and telephone etc. This unit can accommodate
upto 7 adults.
AC Luxury Delux:
This room is furnished with a double bed, a sofa
cum bed and equipped with a colour television
and telephone etc. It has a separate verandah to
sit out and an attached bathroom. This unit can
comfortably accommodate a family
of 2 adults & 2 children.
Executive Suite:
This unit consists of a master bedroom and a
living cum bedroom. The suite is furnished with
two double beds and sofa cum bed. There is one
bathroom between the two rooms. One colour
television and a telephone are provided for this
unit. It has an independent verandah. 4 adults &
2
children can be housed here.
 Odessey:
This cottage has one bedroom furnished with a
double bed and the second living cum bedroom
furnished with a double bed and a sofa cum
double bed. The bedrooms have their independent
attached bathrooms. This unit also has two
televisions and telephone etc. This unit can
accommodate
upto 6 adults.
